Why should I use Phoenix?

The PhoenixSentry™ system enables users to keep tabs on critical operational and functional information about nearly any piece of equipment, installation or process imaginable. You can be on site, in the same building, on another continent or even in a plane and be in touch with your expensive equipment.

Some typical applications include

  • Monitoring process parameters – gallons per minute, fluid levels, process speeds, process efficiencies, etc.
  • Setting alarm points to let you know before a critical fault – PhoenixSentry™ supports warning levels (yellow alarm) and faults (red alarms).
  • Security monitoring – The systems general inputs allow for security functions such as door entry, perimeter alarms, fire and tampering to both machinery and complete facilities.
  • Asset protection – monitor critical storage conditions such as food storage temperatures, food process temperatures. Monitor remote sites – storage facilities, hazardous assets such as dynamite storage vaults.
  • Predictive Fault analysis. The systems historical data analysis tools allow you to plot and view data over periods of time – determine bearing fault due to temperature increases and vibration changes. Service the equipment BEFORE the fault destroys the equipment or renders it inoperative.

In addition, PhoenixSentry™ allow for control of a selected number of outputs. These can be turned on and off over the web, or automatically controlled by the system at your site via a user determined "rule".

An example of a "rule"

You need to disable the operation of a compressor when the temperature of the compressor gas exceeds a predetermined limit. The rule you select is downloaded via the web to the PhoenixSentry™ located in your facility. When this fault occurs the PhoenixSentry™ immediately and automatically shuts it down eliminating the delay time for you to respond. The system then sends a message telling you it has shut down the device.
